This is a photo of Marsanna Twedt added on May 15, 2020. This was in a box of "found photos" (being disposed of by someone who didn't know who the people in the pictures were) in Oregon, although most of the pictures were taken in Iowa.

It was in a box that was among items that were being cleaned out of a house and were supposed to be disposed of. I have never met the person who's house it was or the person who instructed the house be cleaned out. I saw it and thought it was too precious to be tossed. It's been more than two years since then and Covid makes it feel like another lifetime. I shared it here in hopes that someone who would want it would find it.
It was in Portland, Oregon. And I'm thrilled to have connected the pictures to someone. It's been a couple of years and I don't know exactly where I put them (no doubt someplace safe), but I could at some point in the future mail the originals to someone in the family. We'd have to figure out which ones you wanted, etc. but it would be wonderful to truly reunite them.

I am fascinated by old photographs, especially those of my ancestors and ones that show the history of cities I've visited (plus World's Fair photos). Old photographs separated from people who want them seem to be attracted to me which is good if I can find those people but also inconvenient because this is not an easy task.
I want to build a place where my son can meet his great-grandparents. My grandmother Marian Joyce (Benning) Kroetch always wanted to meet her great-grandchildren, but she died just a handful of years before my son's birth.
So while she didn't have the opportunity to meet him, at least he will be able to know her.
