Minnie B. Wilson
I've "rescued" an old photograph of Miss Minnie B. WILSON of Charleston, IL which was taken at the E. R. Scharz Studio in Charleston. The photograph appears to have been taken in the 1890's with Minnie likely in her teens at the time. A note on the photograph indicates that she is Eldro's cousin. In addition, someone has written "198 East Harrison Avenue" on the back of the photograph as well. Based on limited research I was able to locate the following information regarding Minnie and her family:

Minnie Belle WILSON was b. 21 Jan 1877 in Staunton, VA to parents John Hendren WILSON (1848-1892) and Mary BEARD (1837-1932). Minnie was one of 9 children born to this couple including, Effie May or Mae; Minnie Belle; Joseph Maurice; Rose; George Walter; Elsie; and Nellie Moncure; Tina; and Holmes WILSON, all born between 1875 and 1892. Minnie married Clarence Thomas GOODMAN (1880-1931) and together they had a son, Earl W. GOODMAN (1906-1995). Minnie died 22 Jul 1918 in Charleston, IL and is buried in the Mound Cemetery in Charleston, IL.

I’m hoping to locate someone from Minnie’s family so that the photograph can be returned to the care of her family. If you are a member of this family, or you know someone who might be, please contact me.

Thanks,
Shelley

what a lovely young lady. I wonder if she passed away from the Spanish Flu epidemic.
Just curious, what makes you think she may have died from the Flu

She appears wise beyond her years, and kind in the way of those who have known hardship. I hope she gave and received love and happiness.

Pat Braun Campbell, I tend to agree with you. Millions of people all over the world died from it. I've noticed on Findagrave.com, that if someone died in 1918, it was usually the flu that killed them.
