Myrtle Boyd

Description:
A photo of Myrtle Boyd with a killer pout. Myrtle obviously didn't want her picture taken. Check the giant tear on her right cheek!

08/2020 Update:
Sam M* contacted us and believes this to be Myrtle Elvira Boyd who was born in 1898 in Colorado. If the same individual, in November 1920, so 16 years after this photo was taken, Myrtle had a daughter Sarah who was born prematurely and died. In February 1923 Myrtle gave birth to Sam's father Samuel who had type 1 diabetes and Myrtle died soon after from complications of childbirth. Her husband Samuel then dropped Samuel Jr. off with his parents and never remarried.

Adorable little Myrtle Boyd with a big pout in 1904 - and is that a tear on her cheek? Who says taking a photo is quick and easy?

All sorts of questions come to mind. She looks maybe 7 or 8 years old? I wonder how long into the 20th century she lived, how much of the momentous events she witnessed. What was her life like? A beautiful little ghost from the past, but a silent ghost who is keeping her secrets!

Marlinde Strüwer, als je op de link klikt en daarna ergens links onder de foto bij de Boyd familie dan kom je een stamboom en foto's tegen.. misschien is dit wel van jouw tak van de familie.. ☺️😄
