Ron A Rosendo Aug 7, 1951 - Sep 15, 1987 San Francisco, California

Ronald "Ron" Alan Rosendo's father was Jose Rosendo who died in February 1962, and his mother was Ydalia Lazo (1918-1977). Both of his parents were born in Florida. He had three siblings - a brother who lived in Los Angeles and two sisters. Ron was born and raised in Miami Florida, and moved to San Francisco in the 1970s where he spent the rest of his life. He was active in the Gay & Lesbian scene in the San Francisco Bay Area. Ron died of AIDS and his obituary appeared in the Bay Area Reporter at Ron A Rosendo: Obituary. He is remembered as one of the early members of the LGCSF Angels (Lesbian/Gay Chorus of San Francisco).

I want to build a place where my son can meet his great-grandparents. My grandmother Marian Joyce (Benning) Kroetch always wanted to meet her great-grandchildren, but she died just a handful of years before my son's birth. So while she didn't have the opportunity to meet him, at least he will be able to know her. For more information about what we're building see About AncientFaces. My father's side is full blood Sicilian and my mother's side is a combination of Welsh, Scottish, German and a few other European cultures. One of my more colorful (ahem black sheep) family members came over on the Mayflower. He was among the first to be hanged in the New World for a criminal offense he made while onboard the ship.
