Roscoe TRUBLOOD or TRUEBLOOD and Opal STONE
I have in my possession an old photograph identified as Roscoe TRUBLOOD and Opal STONE. The photograph appears to have been taken some time between 1907 and 1916. The two are pictured in a horse drawn carriage and likely in their teens at the time the photograph was taken.

Based on limited research and thanks to area genealogists I was able to gather the following information regarding these individuals:

Roscoe Edward or C. TRUEBLOOD was either b. 19 Nov 1898 or 15 Feb 1901 in Bluejacket, OK to parents Henry W. TRUEBLOOD (1861-1945) and Mary Irena MILLS (1868-1917) or Ulysses Grant TRUEBLOOD (1866 or 1867-1906 or 1923) and Nanny or Nancy Jane TEARS or SEARS (b. 1876). I am thinking that this may be two different Roscoe’s whose family info has been “mixed” over the years so one set of parents are biological parents, and the others are alternate parents, just not sure based on the details located, maybe there is only one Roscoe?

Both are said to have married Opal STONE or Opal MOLESWORTH (1902-1992) 3 Jul 1925 in Jackson Co., MO. I don’t know if the two Opals are the same person or two different women with the same first names. Roscoe died 11 Jun 1968 in Columbia, MO and is buried in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Kansas City, MO. Roscoe was believed to have four siblings including Grace Merle TRUEBLOOD who married Wilford DONALDSON and they had 5 children. Grace died in Hamilton Co., IN sometime in 1961.

His second sister was Marie TRUEBLOOD who never married and died in 1979 in Las Vegas, NV. His third sister was Vera TRUEBLOOD who married Mr. KELLY and she was living in Grayland, WA when Roscoe died. His brother Joseph T. TRUEBLOOD died in 1977 and buried in the National Cemetery in Leavenworth, KS. Joseph lived in California most of his life and never married.

Opal MOLESWORTH was b. 26 Oct 1902 near Oswego, KS to parents Henry Augustus MOLESWORTH and Eda CARR. Opal had three siblings including Manilla who died when she was only a child, Nellie Mae MOLESWORTH who married Maurice McKinley RESSLER and she died in 1958 and was buried at Independence, MO, and a half-sister Lura Vivian MOLESWORTH who married George Alphus FORRESTER and died in Albuquerque, NM in 1945. Opal died 25 Nov 1992 in Overland Park, MO and both Roscoe and Opal are buried in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Kansas City, MO.

I am hoping to locate the correct family members so that the photograph can be returned to the care of family. If you are a member of this family or know someone who might be, please contact me.

Thanks,
Shelley
