Sarah M. Taintor
I have an old studio photograph of Miss Sarah TAINTOR of Buffalo, NY which was taken at the C. H. Williamson's Studio in Brooklyn, NY. The photograph appears to have been taken in the 1870's with Sarah likely in her teens or 20's at the time the photograph was taken. Based on limited research I was able to gather the following information regarding Sarah and her family:

Sarah M. TAINTOR was b. 10 Jun 1845 in Buffalo, NY to parents Charles TAINTOR III (1805-1864) and Catherine Elkins MUSIER (1803-1855) who were married in Stonington, CT in 1830. Sarah was one of 6 children born to this couple including Charles Musier; Henry Fox; George Russell; Giles Edward; Edward Coe; and Sarah M. TAINTOR, all born between 1831 and 1845. Sarah died 29 Mar 1871 in New York City, NY and is buried in the Forest Lawn Cemetery in Buffalo, NY. It doesn’t appear that Sarah married or had children.

I am hoping to locate someone from Sarah’s family so that this treasure can be returned to the care of family. If you are a member of this family or know someone who might be, please contact me.

Thanks,
Shelley
Date & Place: at C. H. Williamson's Studio in Brooklyn, Kings County, New York United States
