I have a collection of probably 100 photos taken of my mom with her nurse friends and Army buddies from Schofield Barracks from 1944-1945. My daughter put together a beautiful montage complete with music that we shared on youtube titled Schofield Barracks Hawaii 1944.
I thought I saw my step-father in the back of the picture because he had been at Schofield Barracks. But then I remembered he was there when Pearl Harbor was bombed and by 1944 he was in China. Sure does look like him though.

My father's side is full blood Sicilian and my mother's side is a combination of Welsh, Scottish, German and a few other European cultures. One of my more colorful (ahem black sheep) family members came over on the Mayflower. He was among the first to be hanged in the New World for a criminal offense he made while onboard the ship.
