Kirstie Alley
Kirstie Louise Alley was born to Robert 'Bob' Deal Alley and Lillian Maxine 'Mickey' Alley. She had siblings Colette and Craig Alley. Her father owned a lumber company, and her mother worked as a saleswoman at a dress shop. Born and raised in Wichita, Kansas, she attended high school there and went to two years of Kansas State University. After dropping out, Kirstie moved to Los Angeles, pursuing a career as an interior designer and, later, as an actress. She most famously appeared in the television series "Cheers" as well as many television shows and films. See Kirstie Alley : Professions. Kirstie Alley married her high school boyfriend in 1970. He was also named Bob Alley, her father's name. See Alley-Alley Wedding Announcement for the wedding announcement. They were married for seven years. She then married actor Parker Stevenson on December 22, 1983. Kirstie suffered a miscarriage and so they adopted a son, William "True" Stevenson and a daughter, Lillie Stevenson. They divorced in 1997. Kirstie battled weight issues throughout her adult life, and she was an admitted cocaine addict, as well. She beat the cocaine addiction and she was a dedicated member of the Church of Scientology, as was her friend, John Travolta. She even purchased a home in Clearwater, Florida in May of 2000 which is the spiritual headquarters of the Church. In 2007, she donated $5 million to the Church of Scientology. I want to build a place where my son can meet his great-grandparents. My grandmother Marian Joyce (Benning) Kroetch always wanted to meet her great-grandchildren, but she died just a handful of years before my son's birth. So while she didn't have the opportunity to meet him, at least he will be able to know her. For more information about what we're building see About AncientFaces. My father's side is full blood Sicilian and my mother's side is a combination of Welsh, Scottish, German and a few other European cultures. One of my more colorful (ahem black sheep) family members came over on the Mayflower. He was among the first to be hanged in the New World for a criminal offense he made while onboard the ship.
