Sylvester's grandson Royal Elmer Van Tassel

Royal Elmer Van Tassel, son of Bill & Belle, was born on the Jepson farm in Rossie Aug 19, 1895. He married Edith Gibbs Sep 1, 1914 & lived with her folks, Luther & Addie, until he bought a farm in Wilna. The Gibbs bought the Indian River Cheese Factory in 1880. Elmer moved to Pulaski when Pine Camp expanded in 1942. After years of dairy farming, he worked for the Carrier Corporation. He moved to Florida with his second wife Betsy Mc Donald & worked for the Pinkerton Detective Agency. Father of Leon, Leila, Charlotte, and Allen.
