Tom Reed's Champion Sow
A sow on Tom Reed's farm. The farm had 300 hogs in 1941 that had been bred and raised on the farm. Tom Reed's father bought the farm about 50 years before and they hadn't bought a hog since then.
He told the photographer: "I like hogs. I'm more a hog farmer than a cattle rancher, I guess, even though I have a lot of cattle I feed and market."
"The other white meat" was popular on the Reed farm!
