Circa 1920? Left at a senior center in a memory book, this must have been quite a memory for the owner. Liberated ladies!

Probably. It was pretty common to do "cross dressing" photos for fun.

It reminds me of a very old silent movie (1916) called "The Danger Girl".

I have one of my great grandmother cross dressing, too!
Hard to tell for sure...1920's or the 1930's...The lapel width, trouser legs, and casually splayed open shirt collar was pretty much the fashion in both decades.

The belted jacket is called a Norfolk jacket style. It became popular as a sporting (hunting, fishing, golf, etc.) jacket in around the 1860's and remained popular right into the 1950's and even 1960's for causal country wear.

My mom (who graduated HS in 1930) told of when she dressed in her brother's clothes and went to school. She was reprimanded by the yard teacher for talking to the girls! THEN they found out that she was a girl in boys' clothing. She was suspended for a week!

Makes us wonder if the senior center occupant was one of these gals!? If so, and it was the 20's, then she is long gone over the Rainbow. Sad - that living memory is gone now. When I grew up in the 40's and 50's, the "old" folks could remember the 1870's and 1880's! Treasured memories, now gone forever!😢
