I’ve “rescued” an old photograph of Vi WRIGHT and her brother Jim WRIGHT which was taken at the J. Fairbairn Studio in Deseronto, Ontario, Canada in 1910. The two children appear to be about 2-3 years old at the time the photograph was taken. I’m hoping to locate someone from this WRIGHT Family so that the photograph can be returned to its rightful place, with family. If you are a member of this family, or you know someone who might be, please contact me.
Thanks,
Shelley

They're like little dolls - and circa 1910, you can tell who is a girl and who is a boy! :) A found photo, can you help Vi and Jim of Canada return home?
I got a picture but nobody will tell me who it is all my family dying off . I wish I knew who that woman was I think he was my grandmother but I'm not sure because nobody in my family was tell me
Is the assumption that this is a girl based on the name on the photo? Was it only "Vi"? Could be short for Victor or Vincent or another boy's name unless otherwise indicated. Boys often wore dresses as toddlers and I feel like that would be a very unusual hairstyle for a little girl.
I sported this hairstyle in the mid 1950's. My two daughters (one born in 1979, the other in 1991) both wore this 'do'. I don't think a 'time' really applies for it.
The boy looks like my brother when he was that age same facial features, and the little girl looks like my great grandmother when she was younger also same facial features, so weird.
Well, as with every time there are fashionable styles. When boys wore dresses, they typically would have a side part, and girls would have a middle part, to distinguish between the two. Also girls might have an off the shoulder dress. This is hard because a mohawk wasn't a common enough style to say for sure if it was a boy or a girl. The dress reads a little boyish to me though. Could still be a girl, of course. Just conjecture.
