Vicky Lynn Lyons
Vicky's parents were William "Bill" Harry Lyons (1952 - 2014) and Crystal Bailey Lyons. As a 4 year-old child (in 1980), Vicky was the victim of a hit & run accident. The accident left her with neurological impairments although she went on to become a professional women's wrestling "Diva" and to be a student at the Arts Institute of Charlotte (studying Mass Media). Vicky's tragic story was portrayed on HLN's Forensic Files Season 6-Episode 29: "Treading Not So lightly". Her mother, Crystal Bailey Lyons, was described as "the heart & soul" of the investigation and later went back to school to study forensics. A more extensive account of the incident and the ensuing investigation can be found at Vicky’s Sad Past and Tragic End. Vicky's father, William Lyons, died three years after Vicky in 2014, at the age of 61. He and Vicky's mother, Crystal, were divorced at the time. To see an article about Vicky's life and death and read about her impact on the lives around her, go to Vicky Lyons Death Cause . . . . Vicky was found dead in her hotel room by her best friend, perhaps the victim of a brain aneurism. Vicky was survived by her sister, Crystal E. Bailey Lyons; her stepsister Jennifer Dawn Lyons; and her niece Allie Lyons Wise.

Yeah, it's not ancient history, but time flies and the 2010s will be looked back upon like the 1910s soon enough!

I'm a Founder of AncientFaces and support the community answering questions & helping members make connections to the past (thus my official title of Founder & Content and Community Support ). For me, it's been a labor of love for over 20 years. I truly believe with all of my heart that everyone should be remembered for generations to come. I am 2nd generation San Jose and have seen a lot of changes in the area while growing up. We used to be known as the "Valley of Heart's Delight" (because the Valley was covered with orchards and there were many canneries to process the food grown here, which shipped all over the US) - now we have adopted the nickname "Capital of Silicon Valley" and Apple, Ebay, Adobe, Netflix, Facebook, and many more tech companies are within a few miles of my current home in San Jose (including AncientFaces). From a small town of 25,000, we have grown to 1 million plus. And when you add in all of the communities surrounding us (for instance, Saratoga, where I attended high school, living a block from our previous Mayor), we are truly one of the big cities in the US. I am so very proud of my hometown. For more information see Kathy - Founder & Content and Community Director
My family began AncientFaces because we believe that unique photos and stories that show who people are/were should be shared with the world.
