As a 4 year-old child (in 1980), Vicky was a victim of a hit & run accident. The accident left her with neurological impairments. Vicky's tragic story was portrayed on HLN's Forensic Files Season 6-Episode 29: "Treading Not So lightly". Her mother, Crystal Bailey Lyons, was the heart & soul of the investigation and later went back to school to study forensics. Vicky's father, William Lyons, died three years after Vicky (in 2014), at the age of 61. He and Vicky's mother - Crystal - were divorced at the time. She was found dead in her hotel room by her best friend, perhaps of a brain aneurysm.
