The family of the Late Violet Nahinu Nakea desires to thank its many friends, relatives and various organizations for the kindnesses shown, beautiful floral offerings and monetary gifts received during its recent bereavement.

Violet Alokehau (Nahinu ) Nakea was born to John Keoni Nahinu (1858 -1942) and Sarah Kapule Hanohano (1865 - 1928). Both parents were born in Hawaii. She had siblings: Louise, David, Abigail, Emelia, Johah, Esther, Joseph, Lorrin, Miriam, Daniel, Ruth and Evelyn.
Violet Nahinu married George Kauakahi Nakea Levi (1901 - 1956) on November 1, 1926 in Kalihi, Hawaii. They had a son, Lawrence Kauakahi Nakea.
Violet was survived by four children: one daughter, Violet, and three sons, George, Lawrence, and Richard.
She was also survived by 20 great-grandchildren and "numerous" great-grandchildren.

So while she didn't have the opportunity to meet him, at least he will be able to know her.
