William Randolph Hearst (April 29, 1863 in San Francisco, CA – August 14, 1951 in Beverly Hills, CA) was one of the most politically powerful media businessmen in history. William was best known for being an American newspaper magnate, owning The San Francisco Examiner and The New York Journal amongst many others.
Due to his success in business, many people overlook his role as a democrat in the US House of Representatives. William R. Hearst was married to Millicent Veronica Wilson (1882 - 1974) and had a longtime affair with Marion Davies.
William Hearst's legacy lasts today thanks to popular films such as Orson Welles' Citizen Kane, and of course any California native knows of the famous Hearst Castle in San Simeon California.

My father's side is full blood Sicilian and my mother's side is a combination of Welsh, Scottish, German and a few other European cultures.
