William Rhodes Evans

William Rhodes EVANS was b. 19 May 1849 in New York to parents Silvenas or Silvanus or Sylvenus or Sylvanus EVANS (1810-1884) and Sarah N. MANCE (1811 or 1814-1863 or 1867). William was one of 9 children born to this couple including Rachel Ann; Henry S.; Euphemia or Euphama or Uphama Adilla; Abraham M. or W.; George M.; James Silvenus or Silvanus or Sulvanus or Silvenius; Jacob Thomas; William Rhodes; and Daniel Mark EVANS, all born between 1833 and 1852. William married Emma Augusta “Gussie” TERWILIGER (b. 1849 or 1859) in 1889 and they had three children including William Rhodes; Jacob Theodore; and Wallace S. EVANS, all born between 1890 and 1903. It appears that William also had a son from a previous marriage, Alfred C. EVANS b. 1879. In 1900 the family was living in Montgomery, NY and William was a Carpenter. William R. EVANS, age 51 Emma A.
