The original of this picture is a charcoal and chalk drawing the last known copy of which is in the possession of the John Osborne Trueman Farm in Truemanville, Nova Scotia.
William Trueman was the eldest son of William Trueman and Jane Ripley. He married Esther Rebecca Ripley in 1831 and raised 7 children. He and his wife are buried in Truemanville, NS
