George, David, their mother, and perhaps other children were living in a 'poor house' in Liverpool. They had moved from Ireland to England to try to find relief from poverty. We have tentatively traced them back that far but cannot find any records of birth in Ireland. We have been unable to find records back to 1873. George's story of his life did not agree with Davids. George said he was born in Tipperrary Ireland but we can't confirm that. David said he was born in England.
Both George and David, after some terrible years as children, married and had children and led reasonably happy lives. David had one daughter Mae and George had three,Anthony Gale, Jeremiah and Mary Ann,[thats me].
