Flying H Ranch, New Mexico, 1920's
Flying H Ranch, New Mexico, 1920's
My dad has labeled this as taking place on the Flying H but that's all the identification I can offer. Oh, and I say this only because that is the only name listed, the camp cook was called "N*****" George. Any clue what his real name was is welcome.

Who the people are.

This picture may include Thelma or Frankie Yost in New Mexico in the 1930's. I don't know who these women are. The girl on the far right MAY be one of my grandmother's little sisters Thelma or Frankie Yost. Grandmother was living on the Flying H ranch west of Artesia NM with my grandad who was a ranch hand.

Who is this family that lived on Maple St in Carlsbad NM in the mid 40s? Friend or relative of Anna Lois Campbell or her parents Lois A Campbell & Alma Wozencraft Campbell from Midland TX

There are several pictures of this home, spring & winter, with people without, front porch & back. What was its significance to Anna Lois Campbell in the 1940s?
Tom & Bill Mars
Tom & Bill Mars
Studio shot of Tom & Bill Mars or Marrs.

I have other photos of these boys on horses, in corrals, on a ranch, one with my grandfather Lois Campbell. One place is identified as White Lake. I think that might be TX but I don't know. Grandad worked on several ranches around west TX in the 1930s-40s until he bought his own near Carlsbad NM in the 1940s.

The little girl in the middle with the doll is my mother. Anna Lois Campbell born 1926 Midland Tx. On another photo of the same occasion it looks like there are 3 candles on her cake.
Who are the other children?

The family lived east of Midland Tx on a farm when she was small. The closest to my mother as a little girl were the Trueloves, Conders, Greenhaws, Willinghams, Wozencrafts, Fields'.

It looks like a military base to me, so I'm guessing World War II. Possibly a wife/girlfriend with man, but looks old enough to be a mom. A slight resemblance to Bucky McGonagill but he didn't serve in the war. Maybe someone related to the McGonagills, like a Garrett or Brown or Lewis or Neatherlin? Maybe related to Mom's side: Greenhaw, Graves, Wozencraft?

If any of the military details can be distinguished it might be helpful in identifying this couple.

It looks to me as though the last name could be Johnson. and the place is Beaumont TX. Could this be WW 1 instead of 2?

I don't know anything except what's written on it. I've been informed now that this is Linda Coalson, sister of Joanne.

Does anyone from west TX or eastern NM know anything about a Coalson family or this particular girl? Friend or relative of Anna Lois Campbell Brown (from Midland Tx) or Willie R Brown (Dick) who lived in Carlsbad NM 1940s-1960s.

possibly Pearl Stiles
possibly Pearl Stiles
This little girl is similar to the studio photo of Pearl Stiles. Maybe it's her maybe it isn't.

If this is Pearl Stiles, who is she & how does she connect to Willie R Brown (Dick) or Anna Lois Campbell Brown who lived in Carlsbad NM 1940s-1960s. Is this in Carlsbad? Or Midland TX or where?

Looks like same location as other cooks pictures.

NM or TX? The one the far left end could be the soldier with dark hair? Who are these men, where are they?

Can anyone date the hay bailer or whatever the machine is in back? Does anyone recognize the man? Or the place? Friend or relative of Willie R Brown (Dick) or Anna Lois Campbell Brown. Lived in Carlsbad NM 1940s-1960s.

2 guys in dark uniforms, officers? Several women, supposedly cooks as not wearing nurses caps.

Wherever it is it's very flat. Who are these people, where are they?
Mildred & who
Mildred & who
On the top of the photo my mother wrote Mildred, the part with the man's name is torn off. I'm guessing this is around Carlsbad NM or Midland TX.

I'm looking for identification of these people. Mildred who? and who? Friend or relative of Anna Lois Campbell who married Willie R Brown (Dick)& lived in Carlsbad NM 1940s-1960s.
Hitch? Boyd on Cooksey Ranch
Hitch? Boyd on Cooksey Ranch
The first name is difficult to read. The horse is a sorrel mare named Cookie that my granddad Lois Campbell bought when he lived on the ranch he bought west of Carlsbad NM from Frank Jones in the 1940s.

Somehow this is connected with my mother's family. Her dad Lois Campbell worked on several ranches in the west TX, eastern NM area during the 1930's-1940's. I would like to place this ranch & person. Possibly connected to Willie R Brown (Dick) or Anna Lois Campbell Brown, lived Carlsbad NM 1940s-60s.
