L toR Back- John Noel Hicks, William M (buck) Hicks, William Acker. William (Buck) Hicks had more sons named Samuel and Joe. Front - Addie Margaret Waldrop Hicks and Edwin Theodore Hicks. John's wife and son. someone has written on the xerox copy that if Edwin had lived he would have been 88 on 7-14-1995.
William M Buck Hicks died at his house on Braswell Mt, He was 88 yrs old Born in Paulding Co GA. He leaves behing three sons William Acker and Samuel D, and John Noel of selma ALA.
Four daughters Mrs R F (Sudie) Taylor, Lizzie Bell, Ludie Sheppard who lived in Paulding Co GA, and Mattie Portwood who lived in Fulton CO GA. He was married to Francis Anderson who in the 1860 census the Andersons shows Noah 47, Susan 41, Cena 17, Nancy 15, Sarah 12, Francis 7, WM 6 and James 6.

The above is a portion of an article which appeared in the June 11, 1944 edition of the Atlanta Constitution. The Rockmart Chutist they were writing about was Edwin Claude Hicks.

Sloan, Betty, Coleman were nieces and nephews of Jim, the others are his children. Lived in house his father James Charles Pickett bought after Civil War Jim and Laura died around 1930 Jim died at the dinner table.

This is Oliver Albert Brintle's grave marker located in Timberland subdivision. This stone was in the woods for a long time there are other graves but just have rocks as head stones. This is on Dallas Acworth Hwy. His son named Oliver Franklin is buried in crossroads cemetery;also, located in Paulding Co on Dallas-Acworth Hwy. When the Brintle's lived there the land was called Brintle's mountain. On Caswell Co NC, marriage bonds, in gen web,
found Salley Brown Married Oliver Brintle Feb 24, 1816.

Daughters of Will West from paulding co ga, stepdaughters of Ethel Bell, the family lived in Fulton Co GA and Will was a police officer in East Point GA. so my mother said. This was probably in early 1900,s. Ethel was the sister of Edwin Adolph Bell, Jane Bell Hicks, Alma Bell Fair lived in Cartersville GA, and Ike Bell lived in decatur I guess in Dekalb Co or Fulton. Edwin and Jane stayed in Dallas Paulding Co GA in the High Schoals District. They moved from Rome, Floyd Co to Paulding Co and before that their father Thompson Bell and WIfe who was a Tant, lived in Augusta GA and moved to Rome GA. I believe I found somewhere at one time that Issac Bell or Thompson Bell was buried in Temple GA. Children of Issac are Ike, Edwin Adolph and alma Bell Fair, ethel Bell West, and Jane bell Hicks.

This is Elizabeth Brintle married to James Charles Pickett, from Dallas Georgia.
parents: Oliver sr. and Sarah Brown Brintle who were Buried in the Brintle Cemetery now in a subdivision on Acworth Hwy Paulding Co GA. The old Pickett cemetery had a house built over it back in the 60's I guess that this is where Elizabeth and JC were buried. The Cemetery was on the Due West RD close to Pickett's Mill Park that was also where Malachia and Mary were buried. The Brintle's came to GA from Caswell SC/NC around 1830.
