My great great grandfather was head of a farm in El Salto in Canovanas near Cubuy. Ciprain Toledo got a black servant girl pregnant by the last name of Santiago. My great grandfather Eurelio Santiago Toledo who married Tomasa Vasquez took his mothers last name Santiago because Ciprain never inscribed him and or have him his last name. However Eurelio took care of Ciprain because his other six kids didn't take care of him in his old age. We carry the last name Santiago because of my black servant great great grandmother.
