Lola was 84 when she died peacefully. Lola had a happy childhood, with sisters Amelia (her father was a Scotsman who died prior to my grandmother giving birth to Amelia) and Ellen (that we all adored as Auntie Nellie). Lola remembers her loved father Henry Faust, dying of throat cancer on her 14th birthday. Her mother Kathleen, left the catholic orphanage on her 18th birthday. Being the youngest of 8 children, Her mother dying after childbirth, her farther Slyvester gave Kathleen to the nuns to raise. My norther attended catholic colleges, Nursing in Sydney, snow trips and was a tall, slender, golden hair, creamy skin, a blue eyed beauty. Lola met my father Nicholas Tzanatos in Sydney, 10 year marriage and 3 daughters, Janet, Marina & Michelle Jokic (me). My mother later met Hanna (John) Tannouri, they had 3 sons Andre, Francois, Pierre and lived happily in Geelong. My mother has 13 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

Family, friend, or fan, this family history biography is for you to remember Ellen Geary.
Kathleen was youngest 8 siblings. Her parents Henry Bennett and Ellen Geary lived in Melbourne Vic. Ellen's parents Patrick Geary (Gairy) a convict, hung in Melbourne Pentridge in 1890 and buried on the jail grounds. His story was captured in the old Argus newspapers. Her Margaret Geary (Sheedy/Silk/Brown) Irish born, was a freed woman, who met Patrick in Tasmania, after his release from Port Arthur. His deportation from Ireland was recorded as stealing potatoe bags. Patrick was a political activist protesting against English crimes and poverty. They married in Geelong Victoria and had 2 daughters Johanna and Ellen (my maternal great grandmother). Margaret is buried in Piggareet Victoria.
Mary Sherlock's father was lawyer Robert Sherlock of England. Not much is known about this family history yet.
William left Prussia for Australia in 1860's. He was a successful builder. He met Mary Sherlock onboard the ship travelling to Australia. Together they built and ran the 1st cash store on Darling River Menindee NSW. Loved by the small community. The WW1 ANZAC memorial rose garden lists their son Henry William as does the primary schools WW1 honour board. The Faust family are buried in the Menindee cemetery.
