Services for Samuel Gwynn Howell, 82, of Waxahachie, TX, will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Harold Ware will officiate. Burial will follow at the family cemetery at Wildcat Springs Ranch of Stonewall. Mr. Howell died Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at a nursing home in Waxahachie, TX. He was born August 11, 1939 in Navarro County, TX to Sammie Hamilton and Jewel Mae Murray Howell. He graduated from Fairfield, TX High School. He served in the U. S. Navy, being discharged on August 10, 1960, and retired as owner of a traffic control and barricade company in Houston, Texas, later employed by Dallas Lite & Barricade. Survivors include two brothers, Billy Don Howell of Fittstown, OK and Gary Kyle Howell of Red Oak, TX; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Cheri Lynn Howell; sister, Yvonne Rolfing; three brothers, Wayne Howell, Royce Howell and Larry Keith Howell.
