Donnie was my 1st born There is no marker , he was cremated as per his wishes. The ashes were then split in half. With his dads half im not sure where all he was let go at except for Petit Jean Mountain, Arkansas. Donnie had a list of places that he wanted to be let go at and ive done my best to keep my promise to him: 1st he wanted his brother & sisters to have lockets made. Well, I had everyone in the immediate family lockets made from his grandmother Betty, myself , his dad, his brother,& both sisters. 2nd he wanted me to have a teddy bear, I again made everyone a teddy bear. 3rd theres a heirloom rosebush that had been growing in my grandparents yard over 100 years that belonged to my great grandmother Wheeler I brought home and planted with Donnie, everyone can visit there and take a piece to start growing in your yard. 4th Donnie asked to be let go along the grapevine in my grandpas yard where he used to spend his time in the summer where it was peaceful, I did that,hes where the grapevine was. 5th He wanted to be put with his grandpa so a piece of him will always exist by the headstone of CB Crawford at mt pleasant cemetery woodville al 6th A piece of him will always be with Doug Searcy his uncle at KP cemetery Russellville AL 7th Veterans Park Tennessee River Florence AL when he was sick we sat along the riverbank and we painted rocks but he could barely walk and couldn’t make it all the way to the water so I made sure he reached the water and scattered the ashes 8th Fox Trap Creek - Just a creek under an old one lane bridge in Littleville AL they used to play in when they were kids 9th- Devils Gap Colbert Heights Mountain AL- you can see 3 states from there, I tied some ash to some balloons 🎈 and released them, 2 eagles 🦅 met the balloons and escorted it out of sight, it was amazing. 10th- A family member Donnie was close to use to take him to battlefields, he was given some ash to release at the Chickamagua Civil War site. 11th - I had some ash mixed with tattoo ink and had his memorial tattooed on me
