BRIAN BORU (b. abt 941, near Killaloe, Ire.--d. abt 1014, Clontarf, near Dublin), High King of Ireland from 1002 to 1014. He is the ancestor of the O'Briens, who became one of the most important clans in Ireland.
Dromoland Castle
Dromoland is one of Ireland's most famous baronial castles. Dating back from the 16th century, the Castle is the ancestral seat of the O'Briens, direct descendants of the High King Brian Ború.
