H Duane and Leola Seely Anderson
A photo of H Duane and Leola Seely Anderson. They had it taken in preparation for their departure from San Bernardino to Paris, there to preside over the French Mission of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Leola was killed in an automobile accident in France a year later.

Jennings & Merwins family group
A photo of the Jennings and Merwins family group. Bertha Allen rescued a turn-of-the-Twentieth photo album from oblivion in New Mexico and asked what to do with it. I offered some counsel, and she kindly put it in the mail and made me its curator. Since then, I've passed it along to Barbara Gosse, whose family connections to these images are much closer than mine.

Where I can guess at a date for anything in the album, it looks like early Twentieth. Such locational cues as appear tend toward New York and Connecticut.

This family shot was loose in the album, not mounted on one of its pages. It's the second item from it that I've sent to AncientFaces: the first was titled "A Nutmegger from Bridgeport," failing better identification. This one does have, danks Gott, notes au verso:

"Merwin, Marjorie, Nan, Wesley, Lyman
Aunt Alma, Carrie, Alma, Dell & Lydia
Ralph & Carol
Jennings
&
Merwins"

The car in the background looks like 40s vintage; somebody who knows more than I could help date it.
Dauchy's girl
Dauchy's girl
From an album rescued in New Mexico. Some photos included cryptic identification; most didn't. They appear to date from within yelling distance of the start of the nineteenth century. This one of an unidentified girl bears the logo of its professional photographer: J Edwin Dauchy, Photographer, Millerton, N.Y., with Branch Studios: at Sharon Corner and Dover Plains. As I figure out more connections, I'll return to these entries to update them.

This was the leadoff photo in an album that Bertha Allen rescued in New Mexico. She asked what to do with it. I offered some counsel, and she kindly put it in the mail and made me its curator. I'll be glad to pass it on in my turn, to anybody with interest and/or a family connection.

Barbara Gosse has other Seeley & Warnock portraits in her Smith Marsh Card Burgess tree in Ancestry and suggests that this could be "one of the Burgess boys."

Who? When? Who would like to curate the album?
