Alexis Hamilton-Stallman
About me:
I began filling in information when I did a Google search for my late brother, Corey Hamilton. Upset that all he "was" on the internet was a Name, DOB, and finally - date of death, I found this unnerving and began filling in as much family history as I can!
So, this is me... "Lex," Corey's sister, held his hand till the end, he saved me time and time again! This is your (his) niece, Coreynne - she never got to meet Uncle Corey, but man! She loves you!♥️ I fulfilled my final sentiments to you, my first (and only) child has your name... As our last words were, "I love you Corey," "I love you too Lex." ♥️

Frances Hamilton-Calcaterra
(Frances with her son Neal, attending a great grandaughters birthday party, Gwendolyn.)
Frances was funny, witty - loved to travel - from visiting her son in Florida, or posing in front of Buckingham Palace in London, England, or Senior Bus trip to Saint Louis, she was IN!
She was an active member in her Catholic Church and the Daughters of Isabella, and often would volunteer for the Democratic Party. She enjoyed bingo at the KC Hall.
She loved her family...
Husband, William "Bill" Calcaterra adored her and often told stories of dancing at the old Pigeon Inn. When he passed she said, "he took such good care of me...I don't even know how to make my own coffee!"
Her children (in birth order) are Jodonna (Jodi) Hamilton, Neal Hamilton, Eva Hamilton-Benns - who was her caregiver, along with her husband Paul, after Bills passing, and estranged daughter Janet Hamilton.
Her grandchildren are: Corey Hamilton (passed away from cancer at the young age of 21, in 1998 - but had her wit and humor which we all appreciated and adored!), Aimee Benns-Braun (daughter Eva, Stepdaughter Tricia), Melissa Benns-Borders (Ethan, Madison and Gracie), Alexis Hamilton-Stallman (Coreynne), Ian Hamilton (Gwendolyn and Rylee) and several great-great-grandchildren.
Frances would typically sit back at a family BBQ, surrounded by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren...eyes would tear up briefly, and say, "...to think, I started ALL THIS!♥️" Then she would do her smile/smirk. We miss that! We had you for 96 years, still wasn't enough...

I'm a Founder of AncientFaces and support the community answering questions & helping members make connections to the past (thus my official title of Founder & Content and Community Support ). For me, it's been a labor of love for over 20 years. I truly believe with all of my heart that everyone should be remembered for generations to come.
I am 2nd generation San Jose and have seen a lot of changes in the area while growing up. We used to be known as the "Valley of Heart's Delight" (because the Valley was covered with orchards and there were many canneries to process the food grown here, which shipped all over the US) - now we have adopted the nickname "Capital of Silicon Valley" and Apple, Ebay, Adobe, Netflix, Facebook, and many more tech companies are within a few miles of my current home in San Jose (including AncientFaces). From a small town of 25,000, we have grown to 1 million plus. And when you add in all of the communities surrounding us (for instance, Saratoga, where I attended high school, living a block from our previous Mayor), we are truly one of the big cities in the US. I am so very proud of my hometown. For more information see Kathy - Founder & Content and Community Director
