A photo of Lenka Ehrenreich and Georg Markovits. Taken in Arad, Romania in August 1948. In this Photo Lenka was almost 20 (born Oct 1928) and Georg almost 22 (Born Nov 1926). Two years later they got married and stay together for 72 more years.

This is a photo of my grandmother's, Winnie (Stacy) Walker's sister, Alma Beatrice "Mae" and her husband during WWII, Floyd Jett. This picture was taken at Rev, John Walker's log home on Second Creek just outside our kitchen. My mother still remember's that tree!

In 1853 Andrew Hayward Newell imported this prefab house from Boston, Massachusetts, to Avoca street, South Yarra, Melbourne. It was demolished around 1966.

A photo of the Newest members of the Army Nursing Corps in WW One. African American Nurses were finally accepted into the U.S. Army Nurse Corp. as a result of the 1918 influenza outbreak. There were many more nurses than just these that were ultimately serving in military hospitals

Photo of an unknown nurse wearing a mask for protection against influenza. You have got to admire all medical professionals who took care of the sick during the world's most terrible epidemic.

Congress had to approve a $1 million budget granted to the U.S. Public Health Service to recruit 1,000 medical doctors and 700 registered nurses due to the extreme danger these professionals underwent given their proximity to the influenza disease.

Famous silent film actress Theda Bara posing as Cleopatra in the 1917 film Cleopatra directed by J. Gordon Edwards.

Cleopatra 1917 was one of the first big budget Hollywood movies - costing over $500,000 and employing 2,000 people during the filming in 1916 - 1917. Of course Theda Bara was a famous actress in the early days of silent film, best known for her femme fatale roles and risqué clothing. Unfortunately, this film has been lost to time as less than one minute of footage lasts today.
