Lorell Franklin was my grandmother. My mother’s mother. My mother is Mary Ann Franklin Gilbert. My name is Angela Gilbert. I love and miss my Grandmother so much. I remember all the times she sat with me. When I was hospitalized. She was such a beautiful woman. With long beautiful hair. Just like my mother. We spend so much time with her at her home when we were little. I remember ducking under her quilt she made. She had them spreaded from wall to wall in her living room. I remember she loved to watch her stories and the kicking man that was Walker Texas ranger. She use to cook us tea cakes, and spaghetti’s with the bone. I use to love that bone. I found this and was reminded of her. I love you dearly I’ll never forget about you mama

Lorell H Franklin of Homer, Claiborne County, LA was born on June 27, 1922. She was married to Booker T Franklin, and had a child Mary Ann Franklin Gilbert. Lorell Franklin died at age 87 years old on June 1, 2010.
