I am a great-niece of Alvin. I actually didn't even know he existed until today. He was the brother of my Mamaw, Margaret Louise Scifres and the son of Jennings Scifres and Lucille Price. I know they grew up on a farm either in Kentucky or Indiana. I know my great-grandaddy, Jennings, played the fiddle in some kind of band. My mamaw was Baptist, so Alvin could have been. I wish I knew more about him.
