his photo was found at an estate sale in Houston, TX, inside of a metal box with another photo of a child - written on the back of that photo is " 'Sherrill McAlpine Gray' - Age 3yrs-4mths." The child's photo was taken by J.S. Patterson Pulaski, Tenn.
Other items found in the box: another mystery photo circa 1910-ish, with no information, old Victorian Die-cuts, a very old article from the Houston Post about Gladys Klicpera, and very old Hungarian (1902-1920) Korona (paper money or banknotes)

The picture is of a young man in fancy dress. To either side are rhodedendrons. In the background are mountains.
This photo was among my grandmother Beulah Daniels Ray's effects. It was taken 1925-1935. Since my grandmother was born in and spent her early life in Avery Co., NC the picture and the man are of most likely of Avery Co., NC.

Small Girl with Pigtails
This small girl with pigtails is a total mystery. My cousin from NC sent it so may be a relative - some surnames are: Pridgen, Lanier, Arthur, Heritage, Coombs, Sugg.

Not really certain of the date or location. My Grandpa's nick name was Jinx, and at one point he went around shoeing horses.
