William Leslie Pardey waws born in June of 1897 in Lancashire, England to Lewis Pardey (1874 - 1959) and Sarah Alice Aspinal (1876 - 1943). Both of his parents were born in England. William had two sisters, Margaret (1899 - 1954) and Norah (1902 - 1943) and one brother, Lewis (1912 - 1993).
William Leslie Pardey was a Second Lieutenant in the 5th Battalion, South Lancashire Regiment, in World War I, also known as The Great War. He died in Camiers Hospital in France of wounds received at Delville Wood on the 16th of September, 1916 at age 19.
William is buried in Etaples Military Cemetery I. B. 48. in France.
