About my family:
I was born in Lincoln, Nebraska, raised in southern Califorina in Huntington Park. Also lived in Grass Valley, Ca. 'Movied to Fredericksburg, Va. then to Grayslake, IL. to be closer to family. 'Attended the University of Southern California 'was a member of Chi Omega sorority, as is my daughter. I was a dental hygienist and later got my Master's in Art Education and taught art at the high school (including at my alma mater Huntington Park High School) and at college level.
We were active in Scottish groups-my daughter was a champion highland dancer and my son a member of an award-winning pipe band
Our family was very active in Masonic organizations. My daughter & I are Past Honored Queens of Job's Daughters. I am Past Matron of Eastern Star. My son was a member of the Order of DeMolay of which my father was Southern California Jurisdiction Officer. My dad Melvin Pixley was also Past Potentate of Al Malaikah and Chairman of the Board of the Shrine Hospistal for Children in Los Angeles. He was a 33rd degree Scottish Rite Mason. See his site.

Mary May Dellnow (Brown?) (1889-1966): She was born at Ft. Elliott Texas to Charles Edward Dellnow and Clara Frances Lancet. She marr. Leroy Arthur Pixley, lived in Lincoln, Nebraska and later moved to California. NOTE: For some reason, at this time unknown - c1906 her father changed his name to John Henry Brown and the rest of the family as well. WHY was this done. Any information on this would be greatly appreciated.
