Picture of district officers at their visitation of Freedom Chapter 179 in Unadilla NY. Jane Anne (Purple) Haire is in the back row, far right, and is listed as the Historian.

1917 Stars family reunion -
I found this on www.FultonHistory.Com and couldn't resist posting it. The surnames are many and I have no idea why the first line reads "In 1917 the Stars tried a new picnic place, Owasco Lake". I was interested in the article on Alonzo Wood, which is to the right of this picture on the newspaper page.

The young boy is George Freeman Purple.
In relation to him, the people are, from left to right :
Great Grand Mother - Cornelia (Price) Luce, born 1831
Mother - Emma Louise (Lamkin) Purple, born 29 Aug 1878, George is from the marriage of Emma Louise Luce to Fred Humphrey Lamkin
George, born 1 Jan 1904
Grand Mother - Emma Louise Luce Lamkin Bush, born 12 Sept 1856 (she married Fred Humphrey Lamkin and then married George H Bush)
Date of picture is an estimate. George appears to be about 2 years old, was born in 1904. His sister, Helen Frances, is NOT in the picture and she was born in 1907.

Grave stone for my father, Harry Jasper Purple, Jr. Newton Cemetery, Newton MA, 791 Walnut St. Section A North, Plot 9 - second row of stones along the pathway by the pond.
Born 25 August 1914, Newton Hospital, Newton MA, parents residence 49 Prince St, Jamaica Plain (Boston) MA. Father : Harry Jasper Purple, Sr, Mother : Emma Lousie (Lamkin) Purple.
Died at home, 346 Otis St, West Newton MA, 31 March 1979. He donated his body to Harvard Medical School, Cambridge MA and then his remains were cremated.
My twin brother (William Charles Purple) and I (Robert Davis Purple, Sr) placed his urn in the ground with my mother by our sides (Anne Catherine Lucy Purple) and the Minister of Elliot Chruch, Newton MA, in attendance (Herb ?).
Gravestones nearby : Dad's row : Left-Holmes, Right-Jackson. In front row : Left-Weaver, Right-Frew, Below-Pagalys.
