Walter Howell THOMPSON
This is my father-in-law, whom we never knew. The picture was taken at the San Diego Zoo, just before he was deployed with the US Army to go to Germany during World War 2, we think around 1942 or 1943. He was captured & held as a POW. Due to circumstances beyond his control, his 3 young children were given up for adoption in 1948 near or in Smith Co., TX. Their mother was Charlie Joyce (STARNES) THOMPSON, later WILLIAMSON. All are deceased now, but we are trying to locate a daughter (& sister), and Walter's family line, as well.

2020 marks 20 years since the inception of AncientFaces. We are the same team who began this community so long ago. Over the years it feels, at least to us, that our family has expanded to include so many. Thank you!
