Sonny was so fun as a child! He was a protector of his little sister Cathy. in the 7th grade a boy gave his sister a black eye...Sonny made sure he never said a word to Cathy ...even years later that same boy would NOT talk to Cathy! Sonny and Cathy would build snow forts and ice skate together and spend Saturday morningings dining paper routes then go to the skating rink then the ice rink before goining on to toboggan for the day together. they were the best of friends. he was a wonderful child. many memories. he was into fishing and camping and playing at the pond and going to vacation bible school in the summer. he loved his mother above all. on mothers day as a child one year I remember how we sat and handmade her flowers and a card.. he would go down to the Frito lay company and dig the expired chips and snacks out of the dumpster for us to eat because we didn't have any....and we were a large poor family and he found us a cheap out... we thought it was cool and this was back in the 70s and that was a huge win back then. back then anything that you found like that you ran like the dickens and when they caught on he got banned. our step dad went down and argued it was " garbage" and my brother did no wrong because at first they were going to get my brother for theft. thank goodness for him on that one. but Sonny still scoured trash bins and he got all kinds of things. he is a wonderful person at heart.
