I love folk art, antique portraits, photos, mystery, poetry, and art. I've been a picker since my teens so I love all things old and interesting. Gen Xer born a month after Elvis died.
About my family:
I live on a farm. That's all you're getting.
Many years ago I had a dream about a group of my relatives I had never met. During Covid, I was thinking about them and my aunt called and this church had contacted her and given her an old, carved podium one of those ancestors (he was a carpenter) had made. She gave it to us (my dad, our side) as she knew we would want it. As soon as I saw it and the attached plaque tears streamed down my face! The podium holds significance in other ways too. One day I'll write it all down.

I want to build a place where my son can meet his great-grandparents. My grandmother Marian Joyce (Benning) Kroetch always wanted to meet her great-grandchildren, but she died just a handful of years before my son's birth.
So while she didn't have the opportunity to meet him, at least he will be able to know her.

My father's side is full blood Sicilian and my mother's side is a combination of Welsh, Scottish, German and a few other European cultures. One of my more colorful (ahem black sheep) family members came over on the Mayflower. He was among the first to be hanged in the New World for a criminal offense he made while onboard the ship.
