2020 marks 20 years since the inception of AncientFaces. We are the same team who began this community so long ago. Over the years it feels, at least to us, that our family has expanded to include so many. Thank you!

Louise Desrosier
Louise was the daughter of Josephine Gilbert dit Comtois was born in 1825 in Quebec and the granddaughter of Amable Marie Vadnais. Louise's father was Joseph Desrosiers from Lanoraie, Quebec. The family moved to Northboro, MA between 1866 and 1870, after a brief stay in New Hampshire. Joseph and his family are listed in the Northborough, MA, 1870 Census. They lived on a farm on Main Street. Their children were: Joseph, Louis, Elisa, Louisa, Minnie, Hercule(a.k.a. Arthur)and Francis. The Desrosiers spelled their name with two “s” up until the 1900 Census when the name is spelled as “Derosier”. It is also possible that this photo is Minnie Desrosier instead of Louise.
