William Barlow Boscow
Best dad ever. Yes, he was an awesome dad. So many people loved mom and dad. Some from work that worked under him endeared him with the name "coach" and he sure did look like a football coach! They both loved the Vikings and when they moved, they supported the Chargers Football team. - Fran Boscow William Barlow Boscow was born on January 2, 1916, in Troutdale, Oregon, USA, to his parents Frank Arthur Boscow and Beulah Elma Barlow. On September 27, 1935, he married Roberta E Van Branken in Walla Walla, Washington, USA, and they became parents to a son named Ronald Barlow Boscow. At the age of 24, William registered for the military draft on October 16, 1940, in Oregon. Prior to his enlistment, he worked for the Oregonian Publishing Company. On January 30, 1943, William began his military journey by enlisting in the Marine Corps. He joined the military intelligence branch, specializing in sniper training. His expertise in intelligence gathering and marksmanship played a vital role in the safety and success of military operations. William dedicated himself to his service and remained in the Marines until December 4, 1945, when he was honorably discharged. Later on, he remarried on May 31, 1941, in Seattle, King, Washington, USA, to Marie Minnette Boscow. They had three children together. Following his military service, William pursued a successful career. He worked for the Oregonian Newspaper and later secured a position at IDS (Investors Diversified Services). Through determination and hard work, he climbed the ranks from the bottom to become the Senior Vice President of Stocks and Marketing at IDS.
