This is very grainy because it’s from a Voi-Shan (Redondo Beach CA) Company bulletin.

Joe (aka Boompa) was often silly when playing with his kids. He had a beautiful singing voice, and used to joke that he was, “The Man with 1000 voices” all the same voice!!

He had a good sense of humor. He raised Racing Pigeons which originally came from Italy. He had an orchestra in the 40’s thru the 60’s. Joe served at Commissioner of Police in Spring Valley, Illinois.

I don’t know much about my Uncle Vernon, except that he saved someone’s life on the Roer River (Germany) before he was shot & killed. He was a PFC in the 104th Division (Timberwolves), 415th Regiment.

Lois loved animals, dogs in particular. She was an Artist, a Genealogist, and a clutter bug. Very outspoken and highly intelligent. She often read 8-10 books a week. Her favorite fruit was strawberries, and loved a good gin & tonic when she was younger. She made a lot of our clothes and learned to make miniature wood furniture. I could fill a book of the things she did & said. My mother was a mixed bag but I loved her a lot.
