Thomas Richard Konopelski of Oakville, Litchfield County, CT was born on February 6, 1956 in Waterbury, New Haven County, and died at age 50 years old on June 23, 2006 at Oakville in Watertown, Litchfield County. Thomas Konopelski was buried at All Saints Cemetery 203 Spring Lake Rd, in Waterbury, New Haven County.
I'm Daniel Konopelski, or at least that's the name they gave me. When I was young I would ask myself why am I here on this place we call earth. Seriously the question always loomed. I think the question came from the fact that my father Thomas Konopelski was extraordinary in that I idolized him the way that most kids would idolize famous characters. His feets of strength and courage were second to none I would experience for many years, and still to this day. I loved to tell stories to cousins and friends and family members alike about who and what my father was with no end,and they loved every moment of it because they already knew for themselves. I aspired to be like him. Everything I am I believe I owe to my father. Unfortunately in 2006 while working side by side with him he suddenly suffered from a massive heart attack. This would be the last day that I would spend with one of the most inspirational characters in my life. My father was a true lion who protected and provided for his family at any cost. I love him and think about him still to this day. If only every child was fortunate to have had a father like mine this world would be greater than it already is. Love and miss you dad everyday. I know with all my heart I will be with you again someday. See you on the other side.
