Gasper [Casper] Walser was born in Gottlieben, Zurich, Switzerland in c. 1725, imigrated to Penn. on the ship ALBANY, from Rotterdam, to the Delaware River. He took the Oath of Goverment there on 2 September 1749, went then to Penn. He was a tailor and soon married a lady named Margaretha. They had Martin b.c. 1756 and d.1804, Frederick b.1760 and d. 1837, and in 1762 Gasper was taxed for land in Northampton Co. Sons John c.1790, Philip b. 1771 and Jacob b. 1773 had their births recorded in Luthern Church in Albany in Allemangel, Burks Co..He was taxed in 1774, but not there again. Casper owned land in Rowan Co. N.C. on the Yadkin River in 1775. Later it was Davidson Co.. Martin's children were: Catherine; I know nothing about.

Frederick married Margarest Earnest and had nine children. My ancester (Eugenia Woods Weathersby )was the youngest child--Jane who married Peter Middleton Woods and they moved to Benton Co. Tenn. in about 1840 or so and had 13 children of which 1 girl and 11 boys grew up, of which 4 fought for the south and 4 fought for the union they say. My line comes from their son Frederick, who fought for the south and down through his son Eugene, and his son Eugene,Jr. and then me.
This should help you a lot. I don't know any more about Casper and Martin and his family than I have already told you. There is a book 'The 5 Walsers' by Richard Walser printed in 1977 for privite distribution and there is a copy in the Mormon Library in Salt Lake City, Utah. He sent me a copy, but most of it is about his line. There is no more about Martin's family.
