Verlie A Bailey's parents were Charles W. Crosby and Victoria Robinson.
Verlie Crosby, as she was known before she was married, was living in Warren, South Carolina in 1920. She was ten months old and besides her parents, her brothers Earl, who was 17, and CW, who was 14, and sisters Calamae, who was 12, and Lissie, who was 10, were in the household. Her father said that he was a farm operator on a general farm.
Ten years later, in 1930, the family was still living in Warren, South Carolina on the farm. Mother Victoria said that she was employed cooking, brothers Earl and CW were farming, and sister Calamae was a bookkeeper at a bank.
Verlie seems to have been married twice, once to a surname Miles and once to William Orin Bailey on March 26, 1966 in New Hampshire. They had both been divorced before. William was 28 when they married and Verlie was 45.
Although she died in 2003, there is no other information about her life after 1966.
