About me:
I have always been interested in finding my ancestors and want to know which ones fought in the Civil War. I have received records from the War Dept. in the past 5 yrs. on my Gr.Gr.Grandfather John Alexander Ross, and his brothers records Hiram McDonald Ross,. THey both was in the First Ark.Calvary Co.E. Hiram was killed in action in a skirmish at Cassville,Barry Co.Mo on Sept.21,1862. He was only 17 yrs.old. When he was struck in the back of the head and fell, his brother John A. was by his side in less than 5 minutes. This is why, I became interested in the Civil WAr. I have read several and many books about it and have watched every movie I could get my hands on when I started my research on them in 1986. I also received a Military headstone for my Gr.Gr.Grandfather after he had been dead 87 yrs. I was so thrilled to know that I did something for him after he did what he did for his country. Please email me. I also have another alternate email address. [contact link] Hope someone will respond.

2020 marks 20 years since the inception of AncientFaces. We are the same team who began this community so long ago. Over the years it feels, at least to us, that our family has expanded to include so many. Thank you!
