I want to build a place where my son can meet his great-grandparents. My grandmother Marian Joyce (Benning) Kroetch always wanted to meet her great-grandchildren, but she died just a handful of years before my son's birth.
So while she didn't have the opportunity to meet him, at least he will be able to know her.

My father's side is full blood Sicilian and my mother's side is a combination of Welsh, Scottish, German and a few other European cultures. One of my more colorful (ahem black sheep) family members came over on the Mayflower. He was among the first to be hanged in the New World for a criminal offense he made while onboard the ship.

Bill was like a father to his four siblings. Our father was on disability, from his late 40's due to epilepsy. He became the head of household. I knew no one like Bill, except our Mother. I dont know how Bill handled all the responsibility placed on him, plus working from a young age. He worked various jobs in his youth, and then applied to Republic Steel,aka LTV steel aka Arcelor Mittal, number one in seniority and worked into his 70's. Also steeplejacked, worked on Ore Boats, was in Army Reserves for ten years. He consistently mailed home money to our mom, to keep the family afloat. He worked beyond what any human could, was always on the go, did not sit around. I dont know where he got the stamina and energy. He paid to have a new driveway, and a garage built at the family home in Lakewood. Selfless person, always for everyone else, not himself. Our Mom must have instilled that in him. Through the years if TV, or appliances broke he replaced them. Bought numerous cars, and also purchased for his siblings. I dont know how he afforded all that he did for our family, much less have any money for himself. Devastating when he passed, but poignent,he needed a rest. Will never forget him. He had a hard final two years of his life, Diabetes, dialysis, numerous falls, numerous hospital/rehab stays. His cognitive skills were somewhat declining. He is up there with Mom/Dad,Bill Ritz, Bruce, reunited. Miss him every day.

Dennis is retired, a Welder by trade. He has 2 sons, 4 granddaughters. He is devoted to his family, and whenever I’ve asked for a favor he is quick to help out.
Norma was selfless. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister. She was one of 6 siblings. She put others before herself, never asking for help.
