2020 marks 20 years since the inception of AncientFaces. We are the same team who began this community so long ago. Over the years it feels, at least to us, that our family has expanded to include so many. Thank you!
Agnes (Cowan) Elstob of Scotland was born in 1869 in Lanark County. She was married to James Bain Elstob, and had a child William Semple Cowan. Agnes Elstob died at age 74 years old in 1943 in Greenock.
James Bain Elstob of Greenock Scotland, was married to Angus Cowan, and had a child William Semple Cowan. James Elstob died on March 16, 1950 in Greenock. Family, friend, or fan, this family history biography is for you to remember James Bain Elstob.
He was born William Semple ELSTOB in Ireland, and changed his name to COWAN when he emmigrated to Australia in 1925. Cowan was his grandmother's mainden name.
