Bonnie Ann Berkheimer Handson Cote Alexander
Artist, Designer, Writer.
Born in York, Pennsylvania. March 26, 1979.
Has lived in Vermont, New York City, Lynn, Massachusetts and Boston, Massachusetts. Travels with USA.
Just loves life. Loves people. Loves Freedom. Loves God.
I love to cook for people. I love to greet people and have conversations. I love to read books and write pen pal letters. I love libraries. I love the USA.
Thank you to the Lord for always providing for me, through every adventure and amazement.
It's been a great ride. When I die I hope people remember me loving Christmas or Janmashtami and I hope they remember Krishna Kirtan and reading Caitanya Caritamrta.
I hope they remember singing old hymns and songs of the good times. I hope they remember to love Jesus and love each other the way Jesus loved us.
My mother, Deborah Kay (Berkheimer) Handson was one of 5 child born to Claudine Amanda (Mummert) Berkheimer and Clarence Eugene Berkheimer. She grew up in Spring Grove, Pennsylvania. I grew up with her and my grandparents in West York, Pennsylvania from 1978-1983. Then from 1983-1990 my mother and I lived with my stepfather, Dennis Scott Norton in West York, Pennsylvania. My mother resides currently in Florida (as of 2022). She has been there now for quite some time. I have a brother and a sister who also live in Florida. They are each married and with children. James Richard Handson is my brother. His wife's name is Cecilia and they have 3 children. My sister, Katrina MaryAnne (Handson) Perez has a husband, Rene and 1 child. My father was Charles Richard Holtsclaw. He passed away in 1999. He had many children. He worked for the Reithoffer Carnival in different capacities and also he was an artist. He painted some of the rides and signage. He and my mother met at a music store, in the late 1970s. They enjoyed a few years together and worked painting houses traveling. In 1978 my mother went home to her parents but met up with him again in 1990 and they reunited resulting in our move to Vermont and the birth of my brother James and sister Katrina.

Odella was a bright, cheerful lady. She had a magnificent personality and perseverance.
She was a survivor, tough and brilliant.
She had 7 children. She made artwork and loved music, people and fashion.
There is a book about her. Look it up, buy it and read it. Her story is very much worth knowing. I am friends with her daughter, Lisa Calacocci who was never able to know her but bears an uncanny resemblance to her mother as presented in photograph and words.
