Grandma Baker, as I knew her, passed away of liver cancer when I was young. I remember her as the grandmother who used to come up from Los Angeles in her trailer and play with a stuffed Snoopy toy with me. She had an enormous collection of Madame Alexander dolls that she loved and cared for. She grew up in Walsenburg, CO and left when my dad was 2.

He was married to Lola L (Young) Chatin in 1915 in Littleton, Arapahoe County United States and they later divorced in 1942. He had children Lola Charmian Chatin and Louis Chatin. August Chatin died at age 90 years old in February 1985.
