She was more commonly known as BERTHA BACKUS.
Married to Frederick Backhaus.Her only son was also Frederick,an official at Chase Bank in headquaters,NYC.
He was twice married.His second wifes maiden name was Florence Milby from Palisaides Park,NJ.They had one child,daughter, Theo.His first marriage also produced one daughter,Gloria.
Bertha took me into her home in 1932,my age of 2yrs.old.
